Known as “The Mountain Child”, Yamanoko were born in the mountainous Gaean regions, though these hardy monsters have adapted to breed and live in many regions, to the point of outbreak. The young Yamanoko's tusks are too small to use for fighting, but dense skull is the perfect tool for rushing down their targets head first. The plucky pig-like monster never backs down from a fight; small, but stout and not to be taken lightly.
Yamanoko also use their strong nose for digging and foraging. Yamanoko will eat any food they find as long as it hasn't rotten. They love mushrooms the most and nothing can stop them once they get even a whiff of one.
