Manyan - The Little Apprentice

Manyan are mysterious and intelligent monsters. They naturally excel with magic and they learn new skills quickly. Not much is know about where this creature originate, but they are adaptable and they seem to enjoy the company of people.
Personalities and Behaviors
Manyan are social monsters, they live in tribes of up to fifty members. Elder tribe members pass down their knowledge and skills to the young.
When the tribe is not gathering food or learning magic, they spend their days grooming each other, chattering and sleeping.
These creatures value individuality and take pride in their unique fur patterns and colors. Manyan make their trademark hats out of shed fur and saliva. Sometimes Manyan picks flowers and dig in trash to find material to make accessories.
History and Culture
Manyan seems to be a newly discovered species, not much past history is documented on them. However, Manyan have become the most popular pets in Oternaph territories. Manyan are loved by children especially. Upon their discovery, the toys and merchandise of Manyan quickly came into production.
Abilities
Due to their small size and teddy bear-like shape, Manyan's physical strengths are unimpressive; they primarily rely on their magic abilities for defense and offense.
With their excellent magic these creatures have access to a wide range of Elementals and skills. Young Manyan tends to prefer using Shade, Fire and Water magic while wiser Manyan are seen using Lightning skills. Manyan can use their magic to summon small voids to capture prey and fend off predators.
Manyan are also creative with their use of tools such as carrying sticks and rods to improve focus and magical abilities.
Ecology
Little is known where Manyan originates but Manyan tribes tend to prefer living in places with people such as in cities and towns. They can be found settling in beaches, sewers and shrines, too.
Rumor has it Manyan do not normally exist in the wild and they are escaped pets. However they are able to protect themselves with their magic abilities. No matter the environment they're forced into, Manyan will adapt to survive, for better or worse for the rest of the established ecosystem.
Diet
Manyan are omnivores, though they seem to prefer the taste of meat. Because they are small and wish not to lose to larger competing predators, Manyan settles for hunting small fish, rodents, birds and insects. Sometimes they are found dining on animal eggs.
When no small prey animals or monsters are available Manyan eats sweet Drakky Fruit, berries and rarely mushrooms. Their flexible diet allows them to survive in harsh environments.
