Despite their sharp appearance, Sparqi are social creatures. Healthy members of the swarm may share their charge with members who have fallen ill.

History and Culture

The Lightning Imp: A title given to Sparqi because of their tricky nature and their destruction of property.

Sparqi shedded hairs and droppings hold an electric charge days after being release, making them difficult and dangerous to clean. Sparqi infestions should only be controlled by professionals who have access to lightning resistant gear.

Despite being associated with pests, Sparqi can be trained like most monsters. They have been used to assist in electric power plants; as long as Sparqi is fed and groomed they can be well behaved.

Abilities

Because they are comprised of Lightning Drakium, Sparqi is unable to be harmed by high voltage electricity. Instead, they will temporarily become charged up and their lightning abilities become stronger. When Sparqi is holding a strong charge they are able to leviatate using magnetism.

The spiky hairs covering Sparqi’s body deters foes from being too close to them. At the end of Sparqi’s hairs are paralyzing barbs that stores high voltages.

Ecology

Sparqi inhabits the stormy mountains and the rainy lakes below. They migrate in large swarms, hoping of catching the strongest lightning.

These impish creatures have found a second home among the human population. Electric run factories make perfect places for Sparqi to inhabit.

Large Lightning Element monsters can prey on Sparqi without worrying about the shock of Sparqi’s barbs. Defibbit is one of Sparqi’s known predators; Sparqi who hover too close to the lake may be snatched by the amphibian’s stretchy tongue.

Diet

Spaqi replenish themselves by allowing themselves to be shocked by electricity. They have a habit of chewing conductive metals to charge themselves. Sparqi especially enjoy the taste of cooper wires.
